Membership
UNKLESA membership is open exclusively to individuals affiliated with the United Nations and recognized diplomatic agencies within Kenya. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
UN Staff Spouses or Partners (as recognized by the UN): Must hold a valid UN Ground Pass or Diplomatic ID.
Diplomatic Community: Must possess a valid Diplomatic ID.
Membership Application Process
To become a member, please follow these steps:
Complete the Membership Application Form: Kindly fill out the form below, submit the requested information, and pay your membership fee via M-PESA or bank transfer.
Upload Required Documentation: Upload a clear image of your valid UN Ground Pass or Diplomatic ID. Or Submit a picture of your UN Ground pass or Diplomatic ID via email.
Pay the Membership Fee: The annual membership fee is KES 4,500 (approximately US$35), valid from November 1 to October 31 each year.
Renewing Members: Must complete payment by March 31 to maintain active status.
New Members: You may join at any time. However, if registration occurs after 31 August, the full annual membership fee applies, and this payment will grant you voting rights for the incoming Board. You will also be required to pay the membership fee for the next financial year by 31 March to maintain active status.
4. Approval & Confirmation: All applications are reviewed by the UNKLESA Office. Upon approval, successful applicants will receive a confirmation email.
New UN staff spouses/partners will then receive an electronic welcome email from UNKLESA.

Please fill in the membership form on a computer, not a phone.
There is no difference in benefits between the individual membership and the agency membership.
Kindly also note that due to security regulations, a UN grounds pass is needed to access the compound. Gaining access to the compound for activities (including visiting the UNKLESA office, trainings, coffee mornings, etc) is the individual responsibility of members.
